Pipeline Internal Inspection & Evaluation Technical Services
Solutions
-
Efficient Comprehensive InspectionPipeline inline inspection technology enables all-round scanning inside pipelines without excavation, under non-stop or short-duration shutdown operating conditions. It identifies potential risks in advance and prevents safety accidents from the source.
Efficient Comprehensive Inspection -
High-precision Detection of Multiple Types of DefectsInline inspection technology enables accurate defect positioning and defect quantification to achieve "precision maintenance and targeted treatment". It effectively minimizes invalid excavation, rework and downtime losses, and substantially lowers full-life-cycle O&M costs.
High-precision Detection of Multiple Types of Defects -
Customizable SolutionsWe can conduct customized modification on inspection tools in light of actual pipeline conditions to perform inline inspection under complex working conditions, including low pipeline pressure, high medium flow rate, and the requirements for inspection tool hibernation and restart. The integration of various auxiliary functions helps overcome technical challenges.

Defect Types
| Defect Types | Detailed Defect Classification |
|---|---|
|
Corrosion Defects |
It covers uniform internal wall corrosion, localized pitting corrosion, pit corrosion, circumferential / axial corrosion grooves, corrosion wall thinning, weld corrosion, joint corrosion and others. Quantitative detection of corrosion severity, area, depth and distribution position can be realized. |
|
Crack Defects |
It covers circumferential cracks, axial cracks, weld cracks, heat-affected zone (HAZ) cracks, fatigue cracks, stress corrosion cracks (SCC), hydrogen-induced cracks and other micro and propagating cracks, enabling identification of early microcracks and critical hazardous cracks. |
|
Geometric Deformation Defects |
It includes excessive pipeline ovality, dents, bulges, wrinkles, bends, diameter variations, deformations caused by mechanical damage, geometric deformations resulting from third-party damage, etc. |
|
Weld Defects |
It can identify welding defects such as incomplete penetration, lack of fusion, misalignment, undercut, slag inclusion, porosity, abnormal weld reinforcement and weld cracking. |
|
Leak Defects |
Comprehensive inspection based on pressure, flow rate, imaging and other means enables identification of minor pipe wall leakage, joint leakage, seal failure, medium overflow risks and other hidden troubles. |
|
Wall Thinning |
It includes defects causing insufficient effective pipe wall thickness, such as erosion thinning, abrasion thinning, erosion cavities, mechanical scratches and groove damage. |
|
Foreign Object Blockage Defects |
Identify abnormal conditions affecting transportation efficiency, including internal pipeline scaling, sediment deposits, wax blockages, hydrates, debris accumulation and localized blockages. |
|
Material Aging |
Multi-dimensional data (indirect identification) are combined to determine structural degradation characteristics including pipeline material aging, embrittlement, interlayer delamination, damage and delamination of linings / anti-corrosion coatings. |
