Cathodic Protection Integrated Lightning Protection Device

The Cathodic Protection Integrated Lightning Protection Device is an all-in-one lightning protection and anti-interference equipment specially designed for potentiostats in cathodic protection stations. It is developed to address the drawbacks of conventional lightning protection solutions (varistors, simple SPDs), such as low discharge current capacity, absence of trip function and high fire risk.<br>Integrated with Class B + Class C graded lightning protection, stray current drainage and intelligent monitoring functions, the device resolves hazards including direct lightning strikes, induced lightning, surge overvoltage and stray current backflow in one set. It comprehensively ensures the safe and stable operation of potentiostats, control cabinets and the entire cathodic protection system.

Product Certification

The product has passed tests conducted by the Electrical Safety Testing Center of CNPC, Sinopec and national lightning protection testing institutions. It complies with standards GB/T 18802 and SY/T 0017, and is suitable for severe working conditions of cathodic protection stations in oil & gas and long-distance pipeline projects.

Construction Instructions

1. Installation Preparation: Inspect appearance, sealing and electrical parameters; prepare brackets, copper busbars and bolts.

2. Bracket Fixation: Install horizontally and firmly outdoors with wind and seismic resistance.

3. Equipment Fixation: Securely mount lightning protection device to prevent loosening.

4. Wiring Connection: Connect AC, DC, reference electrode and zero-potential terminals correspondingly; reliably connect copper busbars.

5. Inspection & Commissioning: Perform continuity and insulation tests; verify protection performance via simulated lightning strikes.

6.Sealing Protection: Waterproof all interfaces for outdoor rainproof and sunproof protection.
